SHOW NOTES
Robin revisits her favorite Unknown Blessings chant that she talked about in one of our previous episodes. We could all use a viewpoint that would help us position ourselves better in a world where the future is even more unpredictable than what we’re accustomed to. Now is the time, more than ever, to give thanks to the unknown blessings. They are already on their way.

Yes! Gratitude does help with loneliness.
How?
It opens the pathway to more and better relationships, enhances physical health, improves empathy, cuts down on aggression, grows healthy self-esteem, and increases mental strength.
Not only that - studies show it can help lift depression, improve your diet, and make you more likely to exercise. Seriously, we can all use that!
Did you know heart patients recover more quickly when they keep a gratitude journal? It's true.
Gratitude also causes people to be more generous and kinder to strangers. It's the single best predictor of well-being and good relationships, beating out twenty-four other impressive traits - even hope, love, and creativity!
Benedictine monk David Steindl-Rast is clear about how gratitude helps: "Happiness does not lead to gratitude. Gratitude leads to happiness.”
Hopefully, you'll hear the gratitude in my voice any time I come on the podcast. After all, I really am glad there is a listener there...
